1. Jalen Alexander Hurts (born August 7, 1998) is an American football quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played his first three seasons of college football at the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the team that won the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, and used his final year of eligibility at the University of Oklahoma. Selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, he became their starter near the end of his rookie season. Hurts had a breakout season in 2022 when he led the Eagles to an appearance in Super Bowl LVII. He played in Super Bowl Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles on Feb 12, 2023. From the 2021 draft, he was the QB who leapfrogged his peer group.
